    This one-on-one reading assistance program is for children in grades 1-6.  It is provided by our high quality teen volunteers. Choose one from the six reading periods: 3:15-3:45pm, 4:00-4:30pm, 4:45-5:15pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Program runs from October through May with some breaks following the calendar of Fremont School District.

Yearly registration is required and starts September 1st, 2009.

To register, parents must call or come in person during Centerville Library's open hours: Tue. 1-8pm, Thurs. 11am-6pm.
Seats are limited and fill up very quickly so register as early as possible.

    Drop-in story-telling program for children ages 2-6.
Centerville Library's trained teen volunteers read stories to children (and their parents) to discover the fun and love of reading.

This year-round storytime will take place every Thursday between 3:30 and 4:30 PM with a few short breaks.  Children can listen to as many stories as they want.  Parents must stay in the library.

    For 18-35 month olds, Toddler Time happens on 4 Fridays per session. This session begins October 30th, 2009 and goes through November 20th. Each child needs a lap for special one-on-one attention while we read, sing, dance, and learn baby sign language! Registration is required. This session is full. We will not hold Toddler Time again until the first Friday in January, we will take registration requests at the end of December. Check back here then.

The Union City Library Baby Time is a fun introduction to books, songs and games for our very youngest Library patrons, and an opportunity for the parent to make new friends and socialize. Call or come in to the Library Monday, November 30, when the Library opens at 10:00 a.m.

Space is limited to 20 adult/child pairs, one child from birth - 15 months per adult as each child needs an adult lap to sit on. Attendance at all three meetings is highly recommended.

    All students in grades K-12 are invited to Union City Library for free homework help in all subjects. The center is open Monday-Thursdays from 3:30-5:30 except on school or County holidays. The starting date is September 14th and it runs through the end of May.

Homework assistance is provided by teen volunteers under the supervision of 2 adult coordinators. Help is available in Spansih and English languages. Paper, pencils, calculators, laptops, and some textbooks are available for student use.

The homework center is funded by Alameda County Libraries and is a free program. No registration is necessary. Parents of students in grades K-4 are requested to remain in the building while their children are in the Homework Center.

Program runs from October through May with some breaks following the calendar of Fremont School District.

Yearly registration is required and starts September 1st, 2009.

Homework assistance is provided by teen volunteers under the supervision of 2 adult coordinators. Help is available in Spansih and English languages. Paper, pencils, calculators, laptops, and some textbooks are available for student use.

The homework center is funded by Alameda County Libraries and is a free program. No registration is necessary. Parents of students in grades K-4 are requested to remain in the building while their children are in the Homework Center.

    This one-on-one reading assistance program is for children in grades 1-6.  It is provided by our high quality teen volunteers. Choose one from the six reading periods: 3:15-3:45pm, 4:00-4:30pm, 4:45-5:15pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Program runs from October through May with some breaks following the calendar of Fremont School District.

Yearly registration is required and starts September 1st, 2009.
To register, parents must call or come in person during Centerville Library's open hours: Tue. 1-8pm, Thurs. 11am-6pm.
Seats are limited and fill up very quickly so register as early as possible.

The Union City Library Baby Time, from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m., is a fun introduction to books, songs and games for our youngest Library patrons, and an opportunity for the parent to make new friends and socialize.

Space is limited to 20 adult/child pairs, one child from birth - 15 months per adult as each child needs an adult lap to sit on. Attendance at all three meetings is highly recommended.

    The Friends are a volunteer community organization, keenly interested in books and libraries. They work to focus public attention on the Dublin Library and to raise funds for the Library. The Friends sponsor two booksales a year, publish a newsletter, sell promotional items, and promote the library during community events such as the Day on the Glen. In addition to their two large book sales each year, they have an ongoing book sale in the lobby of the Library. Rare and collectible books are sold online and offered for silent auction. Funds from booksales support library programming, the adult book discussion groups, Dublin Reads, the Homework Center, and other services and equipment needs of the Library.

The Friends meet on the second Wednesday of the month from 6:15 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Dublin Library. More information is available at their website Friends of the Dublin Library. NEWCOMERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!

    Children in grades 3 to 8 can drop by and receive help on their after school assignments from teen volunteers. Help is available Monday through Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Library.

No signups are required, but your child will be given a permission slip for the parent to sign at their first visit to the Center.

Parents please note that the Homework Center is not child care and is not a substitute for professional tutoring.

    All students in grades K-12 are invited to Union City Library for free homework help in all subjects. The center is open Monday-Thursdays from 3:30-5:30 except on school or County holidays. The starting date is September 14th and it runs through the end of May.

Homework assistance is provided by teen volunteers under the supervision of 2 adult coordinators. Help is available in Spansih and English languages. Paper, pencils, calculators, laptops, and some textbooks are available for student use.

The homework center is funded by Alameda County Libraries and is a free program. No registration is necessary. Parents of students in grades K-4 are requested to remain in the building while their children are in the Homework Center.
